1. What is nanotechnology ?
The word ‘nano’ comes from the Greek language and means ‘midget’. One nm (short for nanometre) equals one millionth of a millimeter. The scale of a nano molecule compared to a football is the same as the football compared to the world. Nanotechnology relates to the production, research and use of extremely small structures. The nanometre scale is the scale of single atoms and tiny molecules. One nanometre represents about 4 to 6 atoms. Particles on a nano scale, so called nano particles, or polymers (smaller than 100nm) are the building blocks of this technology.

All nano particles are made from the following key ingredients: Ceramics, Diamond, Silver, Glass.The main volume of the solution is always water or alcohol which is what makes application easy & manageable.

When we use any nano solution, here’s what happens. Using the power of self-organising anti adhesion components, the 'nanos' form an invisible barrier similar to glass. Only the 'nanos' remain on the sealed surfaces, while the water or alcohol evaporates. All nano particles are heat resistant up to 300 degrees Celsius / 572 degrees Fahrenheit.

The nano particles organise themselves to form a coating and bond with the surface after application. Once the nano particles are on or inside the surface, they proceed to wage a war against dirt, dust, algae or any evil intruder. For example, if the surface is smooth and non absorbent, then nano particles simply combine with the surface, and repel any liquid intruder. So no contaminants can infiltrate into the surface!

On the other hand, if the treated surface happens to be porous, the nano particles fill up the pores from the inside. Fungus, lichen, algae and moss can no longer adhere to the surface.
